Supporting honest reflection, strengthened relationships, and deeper self-understanding.

Offering direct yet a gentle approach to relationships, grief, life transitions, and trauma, offering structured therapy series and personalized care in Charleston and virtually across South Carolina. Helping you become more fully yourself in life and in relationships.

Get Therapy Before You Need Therapy

Therapy isn’t only for moments of crisis. It’s an investment in clarity, stronger relationships, and the life you want to build. Choosing support before you feel overwhelmed allows you to grow with intention, strengthen communication, and navigate transitions with confidence. The strongest people don’t wait until things fall apart. They prepare, reflect, and choose growth early.

Choose Each Other First

Whether you feel close and want to grow stronger, or you feel distant and unsure how to reconnect, couples therapy offers a space to pause, reflect, and choose each other again. You don’t have to be in crisis to benefit, and you’re not beyond hope if you are. A new beginning can start anywhere along the way when both partners are willing to lean in.

Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach out to traci@magnoliashoretherapy.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Magnolia Shore Therapy stands out through its personalized and holistic approach to mental health. As a solo practitioner, I provide dedicated one-on-one attention, ensuring that each client feels heard and understood. My focus on healing and wholeness allows for tailored counseling that addresses individual needs, fostering a safe space for exploration and growth. I emphasize building strong therapeutic relationships, encouraging clients to stay curious about themselves and their patterns. This intentional and grounded support empowers clients to create meaningful change in their lives.

Magnolia Shore Therapy supports individuals and couples navigating relationship challenges, communication issues, anxiety, emotional overwhelm, grief and loss, dating concerns, and major life transitions. I work with clients who feel stuck in repeating patterns, disconnected in their relationships, or uncertain about their next season of life. Therapy may address premarital preparation, parenting and co-parenting stress, trauma-related experiences, attachment concerns, and midlife transitions. The focus is always on clarity, connection, and sustainable growth.

I provide individual therapy and couples therapy, as well as focused support for families navigating parenting or co-parenting challenges. As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I approach counseling systemically, meaning we explore how relationships, patterns, and experiences influence your current concerns.

Yes. Magnolia Shore Therapy offers structured premarital counseling, co-parenting support, and parenting guidance. These focused therapy series are designed to strengthen communication, clarify expectations, and build a solid relational foundation.

The first session is a collaborative conversation. We will discuss what brings you to therapy, your goals, and relevant background information. I will ask thoughtful questions to understand your patterns, relationships, and current stressors. There is no pressure to share everything at once. The goal is to create a safe, steady space where we can begin meaningful work together.

Most clients begin with weekly sessions to build momentum and establish consistency. As progress is made, sessions may transition to bi-weekly or as needed. The frequency of therapy is always discussed collaboratively and adjusted based on your goals, readiness, and circumstances.

Magnolia Shore Therapy is a self-pay private practice, which means I do not bill insurance companies directly.

However, many insurance plans offer out-of-network benefits that may reimburse a portion of the cost of therapy.

If you would like to seek reimbursement from your insurance provider, I can provide a Superbill after your session. A superbill is a detailed receipt that includes the information insurance companies typically require to process potential reimbursement.

You can submit the superbill directly to your insurance company to request reimbursement for out-of-network therapy services.

Because every insurance plan is different, I recommend contacting your insurance provider and asking about your out-of-network mental health benefits before beginning therapy.

Some helpful questions to ask your insurance company include:

• Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?
• What percentage of the session fee will be reimbursed?
• Is there a deductible that must be met first?
• How do I submit a superbill for reimbursement?

If you have questions about how superbills work, I’m happy to help guide you through the process.

As a self-pay practice, payment is due at the time of service. I accept HSA and FSA cards, ACH transfers, and cash. Superbills are available upon request. A limited sliding scale is offered when appropriate, and I welcome open conversations about financial fit. Credit card payments may include a small processing fee.
